Dr Mohammed Zahran Salim (MD, MSc CH & HM, MSc)
Qualified as a Medical Doctor in Budapest Hungary in 1987. He worked as a Medical Officer and later a Senior Medical Officer in Pemba, Tanzania. In 1992 he did Master degree in Community Health and Health Management at Heidelberg University, Germany. After that he worked extensively in the field of Primary Health Care, Public Health and Preventative Care beside his normal profession of patient care. Dr Mohammed worked briefly with World Health Organisation in Geneva, Switzerland as a Consultant in Primary Health Care and also with Aga Khan Foundation in Tanzania as Director of Public health. In 2006 he did Master degree in Drug Policy and Intervention at Middlesex University, UK. Since 1998 he has been working in the field of Substance Misuse and HIV prevention with different organisations in UK, providing treatment for people with alcohol and drug problems. He is also a frequent presenter with BBC Swahili service in health issues.
